Babel has acquired Anadat Technology, adding over 200 specialists in complex infrastructure management and multi-cloud services. This integration strengthens Babel’s presence in the Spanish market, particularly in telecommunications and banking, and expands its service offerings. The acquisition is part of Babel’s 2029 strategy to consolidate its position as a leading tech player, emphasizing a shared culture and growth opportunities for Anadat professionals while enhancing service quality for clients. 1

Urbaser has agreed to acquire a majority stake in EcoAmbiente, a leading urban services operator in Portugal, enhancing its presence in the country. This acquisition will add over 20 facilities, 1,000 vehicles, and 2,000 professionals to Urbaser’s platform. EcoAmbiente, founded in 1992, has around 1,500 employees and generates over 60 million euros in revenue with more than 100 active contracts. Urbaser aims to broaden its service offerings and strengthen its market position in Portugal, according to CEO Fernando Abril-Martorell. 2

PLD Space has secured €180 million in Series C funding, led by Mitsubishi Electric Corporation, COFIDES, CDTI and Nazca Capital to enhance its industrial capacity and support commercial contracts for the MIURA 5 rocket in Japan and Asia. With over €350 million raised, the funding strengthens PLD Space’s position as a leader in the private launch sector, facilitating global access to space. The company aims for regular commercial launches, anticipating over 30 launches annually by 2030, following the successful development of technologies like the MIURA 1 demonstrator and ongoing advancements on MIURA 5. 3

Camfil, a leader in clean air solutions, has acquired Spain-based Bioconservación (Bion) to enhance its Molecular Contamination Control (MCC) division. This acquisition will integrate Bion’s expertise and technologies into Camfil’s operations, allowing for better support in managing molecular contaminants in critical environments. Bion will become part of Camfil Spain and contribute to global MCC efforts. Camfil, headquartered in Stockholm, operates 30 manufacturing sites and serves customers in over 35 countries. 4

Consolis Tecnyconta has acquired IBP to enhance its presence in northern and central Spain and to strengthen investment in sustainable prefabricated solutions, particularly in its TecnyData® and TecnyHome lines. This strategic move aims to innovate in the construction sector, focusing on industrialized, efficient, and sustainable practices. The acquisition integrates around 200 specialized professionals and supports ongoing development of low-carbon construction solutions. CEO Marcelo Miranda emphasized the commitment to operational efficiency and sustainability in the market. 5

Nueva Cocina Mediterránea has acquired 100% of the Madrid-based catering company Caterline, specializing in salads, sandwiches, and wraps. This acquisition strengthens NCM’s position in the ready-to-eat food sector, particularly in salads. NCM, a leader in the production of Russian salad, aims for a revenue of 100 million euros this year, while Caterline anticipates 25 million euros, enhancing the group’s capabilities in the Spanish food industry. 6

Impact Bridge Asset Management has invested €8 million in the Spanish agtech company Ikos, which specializes in water-saving irrigation and automation through AI. This funding supports Ikos’s 2026-2030 plan to enhance its platform and expand its market presence. Founded in 2019, Ikos aims to optimize water usage in agriculture using sensor systems and a digital platform. CEO Joaquín Soriano emphasized the investment’s role in accelerating international growth and enhancing efficiency, while Impact Bridge highlights the importance of technology and sustainability in addressing water usage challenges. 7

Henkell Freixenet has acquired the remaining Freixenet shares held by the Ferrer family and honorary president José Luis Bonet, giving the German group full ownership after first buying 50% in 2018. The price was not disclosed, but the 2018 deal valued Freixenet at roughly €440 million. Pedro Ferrer will stay involved as honorary president alongside Bonet and continue representing Freixenet institutionally, while CEO Andreas Brokemper now leads the group. Henkell says it will invest to strengthen Freixenet’s global sparkling-wine leadership and expand further in markets such as Asia and South America. 8

Sensio (Nordic Capital) has acquired ISECO, a leading provider of care technology in Spain and Portugal, enhancing its position in the European elderly care market. This acquisition aims to foster innovation and improve care quality. ISECO, known for its customer-centric approach and robust local presence, will benefit from Sensio’s resources to expand and innovate further, while maintaining strong customer relationships. Sensio currently offers care technology solutions across the Nordics and the UK, with a mission to adapt to the demographic shifts in Europe. 9

• Spanish pharmaceutical company Ferrer has reached a preliminary agreement to sell its consumer products division, Ferrer for You, which includes the well-known Gelocatil, to a foreign multinational. This divestment follows Ferrer’s previous sale of its U.S. subsidiary, Alexza, to focus on more valuable areas. Ferrer for You generates approximately €40 million in revenue and €5 million in EBITDA. The company aims to reduce debt and strengthen its investment capacity, having recorded around €700 million in revenue for 2024. 10
