• KBV Group has become a prominent player in Spain and Portugal in premium kitchen furniture after acquiring Doca. This move is part of a strategic growth initiative by Abac Capital, which previously merged OB Cocinas and Delta to form KBV. This acquisition enhances KBV’s product range, positioning it slightly ahead of Gamadecor from Porcelanosa in terms of revenue. The new group expects further growth through additional acquisitions, international expansion, and increased digitalization. 1

• Mirai, has acquired two Catalan companies, Laboratorios Coper and Jumsa, which specialize in manufacturing cosmetic and perfumery products. This marks Mirai’s first industrial venture in the health, nutrition, and beauty sector. Mirai plans to end 2024 with an aggregated turnover exceeding 210 million euros, employing about 1,000 people across its diversified sectors. Since the end of 2019, Mirai has done around 20 investments, expanding its industrial conglomerate across various sectors. 2

• Grupo Ayrtac, based in Aragon, acquired EasyTech, an Italian company specialized in food industry machinery. This acquisition includes EasyTech’s technology, brand, and expertise, along with its professional team. This acquisition allows Ayrtac to enhance its product range and service offerings, particularly in high-vacuum packaging technologies. 3

• TFG Marine has agreed to acquire majority ownership of Spanish bunkering company Vilma Oil for an undisclosed sum. The acquisition is subject to customary closing conditions and regulatory approvals. Over the last eighteen years Vilma Oil Med has developed a first-class bunkering service from the Port of Ceuta in the Strait of Gibraltar in the European West Mediterranean Sea. Operations are run from Madrid and include a 84k cbm storage terminal and a bunkering barge, supplying over 1,500 vessels each year. 4

• Zucchetti Spain has acquired iArchiva, a company specializing in the automation of document processes. This move strengthens Zucchetti’s presence in the market, enhancing their offerings with advanced document management solutions. iArchiva brings to Zucchetti innovative document processing technologies, already managing over 60 million documents for notable clients. 5

• Roca has expanded its product offerings by acquiring the Swiss company Nosag and the Polish company IneoCare, both specializing in adaptability solutions for bathrooms aimed at individuals with reduced mobility. This acquisition strengthens Roca’s presence in Central Europe and aligns with its innovation strategy, particularly targeting the senior segment. 6

• Eurofred has sold its commercial refrigeration business, Horeca Global Solutions, to Danish firm Tefcold Group. This decision allows Eurofred to focus on its core climate and refrigeration businesses, enhancing growth and operational excellence. Horeca Global Solutions, established by Eurofred to cater to the Horeca sector, will continue its operations under new management, promising growth and improved service for clients in Spain and Portugal.7

• Innovasur has acquired the e-commerce technology company UrbeCOM, enhancing its focus on intelligent commerce solutions. This acquisition aims to strengthen Innovasur’s development department by integrating UrbeCOM’s innovations and expertise in online store creation, further bolstering its position in the tech sector. 8

• Kirey Group has acquired the Spanish system integrator Grupo Solutio, enhancing its presence in Spain’s IT sector. This acquisition bolsters Kirey Group’s offerings in IT consulting, development, and digital transformation services, integrating Solutio’s expertise in cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and software development. 9

• Folder, a stationery chain, has acquired Almacenes Caype, a Vitorian company with over fifty years in the sector. This acquisition aims to expand Folder’s geographic reach in the Basque Country, enhance its product and service offerings, and leverage growth opportunities in specialized market segments. Folder plans to maintain its creative workshops and courses in these stores. With this acquisition, Folder now operates over 150 stores across Spain and aims to increase its total to 160, targeting €100 million in revenue this year. 10
