• Grupo Aire (Ardian) consolidates its presence in the Canary Islands with the integration of Idecnet, an operator with its own network and data centre in the islands.1
• Puig announces the acquisition of a majority stake in Dr. Barbara Sturm, the premium skincare brand founded in 2014 by Dr. Barbara Sturm, a renowned doctor in the field of anti-inflammatory treatments, offering a portfolio of products spanning skincare, body & haircare and supplements. 2
• Quadrante’s shareholders and Henko Partners join forces to position Quadrante as a leading engineering firm focused on sustainability. Quadrante’s shareholders will be leading the execution of the growth strategy, based on integrating companies that complete the services portfolio and access new regions. 3
• Suma Capital has closed its first international deal by acquiring 100% of CH4T, a company based in Verona (Italy) specialized in the management of biomethane plants for energy use. 4
• The Kiloutou Group, Europe’s third-largest generalist equipment rental company and owned by private equity firms HLD and Dentressangle, announced the acquisition of the Spanish equipment rental company Valser. This operation enables Kiloutou Spain to expand its network on the Mediterranean coast with 3 new branches around the strategic harbor city of Valencia. 5
🔥_Just in: Manolo Bakes, renowned for its ‘Manolitos’ pastries, has entered into an agreement with VGO Capital. 6 // Playtomic, a sports app specializing in racquet sports, has acquired Sportclubby, Italy’s sector leader and a major padel market with over 2,000 clubs and a network of more than 500,000 players._ 7
• Forminsa, a Catalan company specializing in metal stamping, has acquired Metal Parts, formerly known as Doga Navarra, based in Orkoien. The deal will significantly increase Forminsa’s size, adding a company with an 80-person workforce and a €20 million turnover. Metal Parts, renowned for its metal stamping for the automotive sector, was rebranded after being excluded from a previous sale of the Doga Navarra group. 8
• Teknei, a Spanish technology consulting firm based in Bilbao, has expanded into the United States market by acquiring Key Technical Resources, based in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. This move is part of Teknei’s strategic plan to grow in the U.S. IT services market. Key Technical Resources specializes in IT staffing, particularly in cybersecurity and application development. This acquisition is expected to significantly boost Teknei’s presence in the U.S., aligning with their global expansion goals. 9
• Laberit, a Valencia-based technology company, has recently acquired a 30% stake in Duacode, a La Coruña-based firm. This move is aimed at strengthening their commercial consolidation in Northern Spain. Doucade, maintaining its independence and expertise, will now benefit from Laberit’s offerings to the Galician market. Laberit also recently acquired Maxproject, a Girona-based Microsoft software implementation company, as part of its expansion strategy. These acquisitions contribute to Laberit’s growth trajectory, with a projected consolidated turnover of €69 million in 2024, up from €30 million in 2020. 10
• Aqualia (FCC), in keeping with its strategy for international growth, has acquired a controlling stake in the company Municipal District Services (MDS), that manages the end-to-end water cycle for more than 364,000 people on the outskirts of Houston and has approximately 140 service agreements with Municipal Utility Districts. 11
• Wofco (Worldwide Fishing Company), a multinational fishing company specializing in frozen fish and seafood, has agreed to acquire Fandicosta, a major fishing group in Galicia. The company is currently in pre-insolvency proceedings and the plan includes maintaining 90% of the approximately 200 employees. Fandicosta, facing challenges since a factory fire in 2016, has a turnover close to €300 million. 12
