• Corpfin Capital, a Spanish private equity firm, has acquired Agrosana, a company specializing in the production and distribution of agricultural fertilizers. Agrosana is known for its innovative and sustainable solutions tailored to modern agriculture.1
• The technology consultancy firm Izertis has just signed the acquisition of the British company Assured Thought, based in London, specialised in quality engineering, quality assurance and software testing consultancy services and focused mainly on the financial sector. This becomes the second acquisition in the United Kingdom, after Projecting, also specialised in the financial sector, and the third European acquisition in the last six months, as in September the acquisition of the Swiss company Digiswit was also formalised.2
• Schindler, the global player in elevators and escalators, has acquired a stake in Nayar, a Spanish company specializing in IoT and digital solutions for building management. 3
• Angulas Aguinaga (PAI Partners), a Spanish seafood company, has acquired Aperitivos Iñaki, a well-known producer of snack foods. This acquisition aims to strengthen Angulas Aguinaga’s presence in the expanding snack market, diversifying its product portfolio beyond seafood. Aperitivos Iñaki, recognized for its high-quality appetizers and snacks, complements Angulas Aguinaga’s existing offerings, allowing the company to tap into new consumer segments and enhance its distribution network. 4
• TAB Batteries, a Slovenian battery manufacturer, has acquired Akuval, a Valencia-based company with facilities in Alicante, Murcia, and Sevilla. This acquisition forms TAB Levante, the latest branch of TAB Spain, enhancing TAB’s presence on the Iberian Peninsula. Akuval, employing 31 people, reported revenues exceeding €10 million in 2023. 5
• Aerticket, a European group specializing in wholesale airline ticket sales and tourism technology, has acquired Servivuelo, Spanish flight consolidator. Established in 2003 and based in Palma de Mallorca, Servivuelo serves over 11,500 travel agencies, particularly small and medium-sized ones, with its proprietary reservation platform.6
• Corporació Griñó, a Lerida-based waste treatment and recovery firm, has notified the National Commission on Markets and Competition (CNMC) of its acquisition of Azor Ambiental, a leading Murcia-based automotive battery recycling company. Founded in 1948, Azor Ambiental generates nearly €124 million in revenue (2023) and specializes in lead recovery from automotive scrap.7
•Atlantic Aviation (KKR), a leading aviation services provider, has acquired Ferrovial Vertiports, a specialist in vertiport construction and management, for €150 million. This strategic move enhances Atlantic Aviation’s capabilities in the urban air mobility (UAM) sector, focusing on electric vertical takeoff and landing (eVTOL) operations. Ferrovial Vertiports, part of the Ferrovial Group, has developed infrastructure for air taxis and drone deliveries across major European cities. 8
• ACS Group has advanced its cohesive strategy by expanding Turner Construction Company in Europe through the acquisition of Dornan, an Irish engineering firm and a leading specialist in the advanced technology sector. Dornan serves blue-chip clients across eight European countries, including the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Denmark, and Ireland. This acquisition supports Turner’s strategic growth, tapping into approximately $20 billion in advanced technology project opportunities in Europe, particularly in data centers in the Netherlands and Spain.9
• Veolia has acquired Imartec, a Catalan energy services company specializing in the development of EPC projects for biomass and solar power plants, primarily targeting the agricultural and industrial sectors. This acquisition is part of Veolia’s strategic program, GreenUp, which aims to accelerate the implementation of affordable and replicable solutions to decontaminate, decarbonize, and regenerate resources globally. Founded in 2010 and based in Lleida, Imartec has completed over 250 biomass combustion projects totaling 80 MWt and 150 solar energy projects with more than 18 MW of installed capacity.10
