Weekly collection of transactions (June 2 - 8)
• Spanish compliance-tech firm CTAIMA has acquired French supply chain risk management (SCRM) platform Provigis, marking its first entry into the French market and strengthening its European presence. Priovigis specialictaizes in supplier prequalification and regulatory compliance (e.g., Sapin II, GDPR, ISO), serving over 400,000 organizations. The acquisition expands CTAIMA’s network to over 500,000 suppliers and nearly 3,500 clients in 30+ countries. Founded by Philippe Olivier, who will continue to lead the French operations, Provigis complements CTAIMA’s compliance ecosystem and furthers its ambition to become a European SCRM leader. 1
• Spanish private equity firm Miura Partners has entered the mental health sector acquiring Centro Psicosanitario Galiani (Seville) and Orientak (Madrid). The goal is to build a leading mental health platform in Spain, combining strategic acquisitions with organic growth, such as opening new centers, investing in technology, and advancing interdisciplinary therapeutic approaches. 2
• Dutch specialty chemicals distributor IMCD has acquired 100% of Ferrer Alimentación and Medir Ferrer from Catalan pharmaceutical group Ferrer. Based in Iberia since 1955, Ferrer Alimentación serves bakery, dairy, beverage, meat, and specialized nutrition sectors with a team of 37 employees and €112 million in 2024 revenues. IMCD aims to integrate Ferrer’s expertise and logistics to accelerate growth across the Iberian market. 3
• Fever, a global live-entertainment tech platform, has raised $100 million (~€87M) from L Catterton and Point72, boosting its valuation to around €2.18 billion. In parallel, Fever has acquired UK-based ticketing app DICE to create the world’s leading independent live entertainment tech company. DICE—launched in 2014—has over 10 million monthly active fans, and Fever operates in more than 40 countries with a 300 million audience. 4
• Grupo Gimeno has acquired Cádiz-based Grupo Valora, marking its entry into the waste-to-fertilizer sector. The deal, executed through Gimeno’s water cycle specialist Facsa, aligns with the group’s sustainable growth and environmental diversification strategy. Grupo Valora, with 30 years of experience, transforms waste into substrates, fertilizers, and technosoils for agricultural and environmental restoration. It processes 450,000 tons of non-hazardous waste annually and also provides lagoon cleaning and environmental consulting. With annual revenue around €10 million (2022), Valora will maintain operational independence. 5
• The Basque Government, via its Finkatuz public investment fund, alongside Fundación Vital and the Lequerica family, has invested €70 million to acquire a 49% stake in Innometal and Ohmnia Electronics—two electromecanical companies owned by Mirai, founded by Sidenor CEO José Antonio Jainaga. Finkatuz contributed €35 million, with €17.5 million each from the other two investors. The firms employ over 900 workers across eight Euskadi factories and generate combined revenues of €180 million. 6
• Miguel Arrufat, founder and majority owner of Proeduca (parent company of UNIR), has acquired a majority stake in news agency Europa Press from the Martín de Cabiedes family. The move aims to drive international growth, particularly in Latin America, and boost the agency’s technological transformation amid rising AI demands. Arrufat also brings financial strength to support the agency’s expansion. Europa Press reported €30 million in revenue and €4.3 million EBITDA in 2024. 7
• On Time has acquired Vicarli from GPF Partners, reinforcing its strategic growth plan and accelerating international expansion . Vicarli is a logistics specialist with ~€50 million in 2024 revenue, operating 19 warehouses (110,000 m²), over 200 vehicles, and a workforce of 300+. The acquisition enhances On Time’s capabilities in storage, transportation, and distribution, offering broader service coverage and technological efficiencies. It also expands On Time’s reach into key markets like the USA, Mexico, Chile, and Costa Rica. On Time closed 2024 with €906 million in revenue, over 6,000 vehicles, and 400,000 m² warehousing capacity. 8
• Strohm Teka’s management team has executed a management buyout (MBO) of its bathroom business, previously under Heritage B ownership, with backing from private investors. After spinning off from Teka in 2018, the unit achieved over 60% growth in six years across Spain, Hungary, and other markets. 9
• British private equity firm Sunridge Partners has acquired a majority stake in Marín Giménez, a Spanish company specializing in fruit and vegetable processing for the food industry. Despite the acquisition, the founding Marín family will remain in management and retain a minority stake. Based in Moratalla, Murcia, the company generates €60 million annually, with 80% from exports to 50 countries. It operates in the B2B sector and is vertically integrated. Marín Giménez offers aseptic packaging, quick-freezing, and prepared mixes. Its products serve various food segments like dairy, juices, and baby food. The company has four production and logistics centers in Spain. 10
