• Manolo Bakes, renowned for its ‘Manolitos’ pastries, has entered into an agreement with VGO Capital. The transaction, which includes the sale of shares and a small capital increase, values Manolo Bakes at around €60 million. This deal also marks the exit of the Manzano family, the original promoters of the Manolitos product, from the group. VGO Capital will now hold a 28% stake in the company. 1

• Sherpa Capital, a private equity firm, has acquired Cristalinas, a leader in the air freshener market. The acquisition aims to double Cristalinas’ sales, building on its strong market position and expanding its product range. Cristalinas, known for its scented candles and air fresheners, has a significant presence in supermarkets and specialized stores. 2

• Portobello Capital, in partnership with the U.S. fund Tensile Capital, has revolutionized the low-cost gas station sector by acquiring an approximate 80% stake in Plenoil for €400 million. This move is aimed at expanding and strengthening Plenoil’s market presence, which plans to reach 500 gas stations by 2027. 3

• Playtomic, a sports app specializing in racquet sports, has acquired Sportclubby, Italy’s sector leader and a major padel market with over 2,000 clubs and a network of more than 500,000 players. 4

• Seidor, a consultancy firm, has acquired Madrid-based Gesein, a company specializing in IT services and consulting for the public sector. This acquisition is aimed at strengthening Seidor’s position in the public sector market. Gesein, with a workforce of 350 employees and a specialization in the public sector, particularly in the Administration of the State, had a turnover of €20 million in 2022. 5

• Hiberus, a Spanish technology company, has expanded its presence in Latin America by acquiring Devomex, the Mexican subsidiary of the multinational technology consultant Devoteam. The acquisition brings over 100 employees from Devomex into Hiberus’ structure in Mexico, with expectations of significant growth in the coming years. 6

• GAEA Inversión, the private equity arm of Inveready, has invested close to €10 million in Argomániz, a leader in creating assembly solutions and high-quality components for rest furniture located in Yeles, Toledo_._ 7

• Vunkers, a technology company based in Lérida, Catalonia, has been acquired by the Aragonese firms Arqa and Gotor Comunicaciones. This acquisition aims to boost Vunkers’ growth in Spain and internationally. Vunkers, specializing in telecommunications, cybersecurity, cloud services, software development, and IoT solutions, has over 50 employees and an annual turnover exceeding €5 million. 8

• MyInvestor, a neobank supported by Grupo Andbank, El Corte Inglés Seguros, AXA España, and various family offices, has acquired Helloteca, a digital platform specializing in mortgage processing. This acquisition aligns with MyInvestor’s strategy to enhance its digital services and expand its product offerings in the financial sector. 9

• DHG, a pan-European medical device manufacturer, has completed the acquisition of MediCauce SL, one of Spain’s leading suppliers of solutions for Safe Moving and Handling, Pressure Ulcer Prevention, Hygiene and Rehabilitation. 10
