• The British private equity fund Apax has reached an agreement with Fremman Capital, a management company led by the Spanish executive Ricardo de Serdio, to acquire 50% of Palex Medical, a Catalan company that is a leader in the medical equipment distribution market. 1
• Allfunds, one of the world’s leading B2B WealthTech platforms for the fund industry, offering fully integrated solutions for both fund houses and distributors, and Iccrea Banca have signed today a Memorandum of Understanding by which Allfunds will acquire Iccrea Banca’s local paying agent business . 2
• SIA, Indra’s cybersecurity company, has bought the Spanish company ICA Sistemas y Seguridad (ICASyS), from the ICA group, specialized in the design and management of technological infrastructures in secure environments, and with a portfolio of its own cybersecurity solutions. 3
• Serveo, empresa participada por el fondo de inversión Portobello Capital, adquiere la actividad de facility management de Sacyr a través de la compra de la compañía Sacyr Facilities. 4
• Permira revolutionizes the alternative management sector with the purchase of 40% of AltamarCAM, the largest independent fund manager in Spain. 5
• Mapfre, leader in the Latin American insurance market, has reached an agreement with the Mexican life insurance company Insignia Life to acquire 94% of its shares for an initial amount of 86 million euros. 6
• GED Capital integrates Snake and Energy Services with Cinelux, creating Parasol Media, a leading audiovisual services group. 7
• Quarza Inversiones, Cristian Abelló’s Private Equity, enters the shareholding of the Catalan manufacturer of nautical vessels De Antonio Yachts, which this year will exceed 30 million in sales. 8
• Oquendo enters HaciendasBio after reaching an agreement with the bank and completing its restructuring. Oquendo is already present in several companies in the organic agri-food sector, such as The Natural Fruit Company, Agrupapulpí, Alsur, and Surexport. 9
