Weekly collection of transactions (September 16 - 22)
• Achilles (Bridgepoint), a global player in supply chain risk and performance management, acquired GoSupply Advanced Applications, a prominent supply chain management company based in Spain. This strategic acquisition marks a significant step in Achilles’ ongoing efforts to expand its global footprint and enhance its portfolio of supply chain solutions. 1
• Software del Sol (TeamSystem) aquired 100% of Distrito K, a company based in Galicia. The company is primarily engaged in the development and licencing of ERP, accounting and tax software solutions for enterprises. 2
• Metricool (Axon Partners) joins the team.blue group (Hg). Metricool, with over two million users and a current ARR (Annual Recurring Revenue) of €17m, offers an all-in-one toolbox to help businesses build brand awareness online. 3
• Alantra Private Equity’s fourth fund has acquired a majority stake in 13 dental laboratories, forming the second-largest platform in Spain, with combined sales of €20mn. As part of the transaction, the current directors of the laboratories have reinvested and will remain involved in the business. The dental laboratory sector represents an attractive investment opportunity within Spain’s €8bn oral healthcare market. With c. 3,800 laboratories across the country, the sector is highly fragmented, highlighting the potential of digitalized laboratories. These digital labs are expected to triple market growth due to their differential value proposition. 4
• The Spanish company Nomad Solar Energy, specializing in the manufacturing and commercialization of mobile and off-grid solar generators, has received an investment of €15 million from TiLT Capital Partners, the French energy transition platform of the Siparex Group. This funding will enable the company to strengthen its R&D efforts and accelerate its commercial development, marking a key milestone in its ambition to become a leading international player in the energy transition sector. 5
• Orisha (Francisco Partners, TA Associates), a European software company dedicated to retail, real estate, health, agri-food and construction companies, announces the acquisition of the Spanish company Gregal, a leader in software development designed to meet the needs of the fruit and vegetable sector. This transaction enriches the offer of the Agri-Food Business Unit of Orisha, just 3 months after its creation following the acquisition of Gaïana, the company dedicated to the sectors: wines and spirits, horticulture and agriculture. Founded in 2000, Gregal is recognized for its innovative solutions and its deep experience in the agri-food sector. With this acquisition, Orisha expands its portfolio of products and services, while benefiting from Gregal’s technological know-how and its solid customer base in the Iberian Peninsula. 6
• TRISON (L-GAM), global company in audiovisual and digital solutions, has acquired Yellow Bricks, the innovative Malaga-based company specialising in Fan Engagement and audiovisual management at sporting events. 7
• Label Capital Invests in Spanish Supplements Brand IVB Wellness Lab. The 5-million-euro minority investment will help the company expand geographically. 8
• Meta Engineering, consultancy and engineering services group for sustainable mobility and renewable energy, announces its strategic alliance with Quadrante (Henko), a Portuguese multidisciplinary engineering, architecture, digitalization, environment, and sustainability consultancy and design firm. This alliance marks a milestone in the sector by combining and complementing the capabilities of both firms to form one of the most important engineering and architecture groups in the Iberian market. The union, which also includes the renewable energy engineering firm Izharia, integrated into Meta Engineering since 2022, reflects the shared commitment of both companies to expand their international presence and strengthen their technical capacity to undertake large-scale international projects, with a special focus on Europe and the United States. With this integration, the new group expects to close the fiscal year 2024 with estimated sales exceeding 100 million euros and a workforce of 1,100 employees, planning to achieve significant growth in the coming years. 9
• French company EDG (Latour Capital, Montefiori Investment) acquires Garaje de Ideas and positions itself in Spain to grow in the digital acceleration of companies.10
