Hej! Hello from Sweden 🇸🇪. Today we are coming back from IMAP’s Fall Conference in Stockholm. As always, it was a great opportunity to discuss the transactions we are working on and collaborate with colleagues from around the world. This year, IMAP’s strength has once again been demonstrated in multiple transactions, including the sale of the Swedish company Svensk Tryckgjutning to the Spanish company Teknia, in which the offices of both countries were involved. Thanks to our colleagues and friends from IMAP Sverige for hosting our 50th anniversary celebration. Next stop, Brazil in Spring 2024!
• Proteos Biotech, a leading biotechnology company specializing in recombinant enzyme production, has welcomed Tresmares Capital into its shareholder base. Founded in 2010, Proteos Biotech focuses on producing high-quality recombinant enzymes, supported by various certifications and scientific endorsements. 1
• Factorial has acquired Madrid-based startup Fuell, marking its first-ever acquisition. Factorial, a unicorn valued at over $1 billion, aims to broaden its all-in-one business management platform beyond HR. The purchase includes Fuell’s expense management solution. • Spain’s Adam Foods buys Poland biscuit manufacturer Dr. Gerard, which has been owned by Bridgepoint since 2013, generates a turnover of €130m and employs 1,100 staff. The company has two factories in Poland and runs subsidiaries in Hungary and Romania. 3
• Lithuanian group Icor, through its subsidiary Inhouse Digital, has acquired Spanish company Pragma, specializing in real estate management software. 4
• Krustagroup, Spanish specialist in the marketing and distribution of sea and aquaculture products, strengthens its distribution business in Europe with the purchse of italian Effegi. 5
• Distriplac, a Spain-based distributor of interior fittings such as panels, ceilings, insulation and heat insulation, has acquired the Canary Islands distributor Aislamientos Termoacústicos Fuerteventura (Atefuer), a specialist in the marketing of insulation products, dry partitioning, ceilings and passive protection. 6
• Vall Companys, a Spain-based company engaged in manufacturing and distribution of processed and cured meat products, has expanded its business in the rabbit meat sector through the acquisition of a 30% stake in Hermi Gestion, a meat producer and distributor and the principal company of rabbit meat producer Grupo Hermi. 7
• AD Ports Group, one of the world’s premier facilitator of logistics, industry, and trade, announces that Noatum, which now leads its Logistics Cluster operations, has signed the agreement for the acquisition of the 100% equity ownership of Sesé Auto Logistics, the Finished Vehicles Logistics (FVL) business of Grupo Logístico Sesé, for a total purchase consideration of EUR 81 million. 8
• Logista Libros announces the acquisition of SGEL Libros, a national book distribution and publishing company. SGEL Libros distributes to more than 8,000 points of sale and in 2022 recorded sales of 50 million euros. 9
• Naturleite, a company of the COVAP group (Cooperativa Ganadera del Valle de los Pedroches), a leader in the manufacturing and marketing of Galician dairy products, has acquired Cereales Rego with the aim of strengthening the services it offers to livestock farms in Galicia. 10
