Weekly collection of transactions (October 9 - October 15)
• The Valencian manufacturer of fruit and vegetable juicing equipment Zumex has signed a strategic alliance with the investment fund Columna Capital to accelerate its international growth. 1
• Diana Capital and Lappí create the Iberian leader in labeling with the acquisition of CPM-PENTA from the Portuguese fund CREST Capital Partners. The integration creates a group with 70 million in sales and 380 employees.2
• Atitlan and the Portuguese private equity CREST Capital invest €30 million in Sea Eight, company specialized in sustainable sole breeding and one of the three main European producers of sole in aquaculture. 3
• Freepik, portfolio company of EQT, acquires EyeEm to expand content library and elevate photography. This acquisition is Freepik’s latest international growth effort, following the expansion of its US leadership team earlier this year and the acquisitions of Videvo (UK), Iconfinder (Denmark), and Original Mockups (Colombia). 4
• Cold Chain Technologies (CCT), a leader in Isothermal Packaging for the transport of thermosensitive products in the pharmaceutical and biotechnology industry, announced the acquisition of Exeltainer. This is CCT’s third acquisition since partnering with Aurora Capital Partners in 2019. 5
• German advertising group Serviceplan has announced the acquisition of a majority stake in media agency Equmedia. 6
• The Valencian company Ports.tech, specialized in technological services and solutions for the nautical sector, has acquired the entire capital of Pandora Global System, “a leading company in comprehensive management software for marinas and yacht clubs”. 7
• Muebles Montiel, specialized in recovery and sale of reconditioned office furniture and new furniture, bets on inorganic growth and buys Catalanya-based Ibermodul. About three years ago, Montiel was acquired by the Gemba Capital. 8
• Cendyn (Accel-KKR) doubles down on the future of CRM with strategic acquisition of Barcelona-based PUSHTech. 9
• AVK Group acquires the companies Bayard and Belgicast. Both companies have strong and well-established brands with a strong portfolio of leading water industry products with significant market positions. 10
