In case you missed it, here is last week’s audio overview of M&A and Private Equity activity in Spain during Q3 2026:
• Buenavista Equity Partners announced the acquisition of a 71.2% stake in Tiryaq Medical Group, a Madrid‑based provider of trauma care, minimally invasive surgery, spinal disorders, cell therapy and sports rehabilitation. The deal, executed through Buenavista Buyout Innvierte III España and BV Healthcare Growth Innvierte I, combines share purchase with a capital increase to fund Tiryaq’s expansion. Tiryaq, founded by Dr Ghassan Elgeadi Saleh, reports €13 million in annual revenue, over 5,000 surgeries per year, and 230,000 patient contacts in 2025. Buenavista will supply capital, operational expertise and a growth strategy that includes organic expansion and acquisitions across Spain. The transaction reinforces Buenavista’s healthcare focus, building on prior investments such as Eugin, now Spain’s second‑largest fertility group.1
• Alerce Group (Oakley Capital) has acquired TRANSPORTLIVE, a company that provides AI‑driven software for optimizing road‑transport loads and routes, adding its TRAFFICLIVE solution to Alerce’s logistics portfolio. This marks the sixth acquisition since Oakley Capital’s 2023 investment, supporting Alerce’s strategy to become Spain’s largest logistics‑software group. Founded in 2020, TRANSPORTLIVE has achieved double‑digit sales growth and its founders, Carlos Alfaro and Victoria Torralba, will join Alerce’s shareholders while remaining in leadership roles. The deal enhances Alerce’s AI capabilities, creates synergies across the group, and strengthens its competitive position against national and multinational players, offering customers a more comprehensive and innovative logistics solution. 2
• ID Finance secured €545 million in equity and debt from international investors (including Spice Expeditions, WashU, Kingsway Capital and i80 Group) to expand its consumer‑finance platform Plazo. The funding will broaden Plazo’s product suite, enhance AI‑driven underwriting, and support rapid growth, aiming for another 300 % increase in 2026. ID Finance also launched Turrón, an e‑money, debit‑card and BNPL solution, to expand its merchant network in Spain. The round follows a €150 million debt financing in 2024 and builds on strong 2025 performance, where revenue reached €243 million and Plazo achieved profitability with over 400 k users. Investors cite confidence in the company’s risk management, AI capabilities, and disruptive potential in the European consumer‑credit market. 3
• Laboratorios Ordesa, the Barcelona-based infant and adult nutrition group, has sold its women’s health supplement brand DonnaPlus to Aristo Pharma Iberia, the Spanish arm of German pharmaceutical group Aristo. The DonnaPlus team will join Aristo’s Spanish organisation. Ordesa says the disposal is part of a new strategic plan to refocus on its core infant and adult nutrition businesses. The deal is a typical non-core brand carve-out in Spanish consumer health, where international pharma groups keep buying established OTC and supplement brands to build scale in pharmacy distribution. 4
• Grupo Apex (Aperitivos y Extrusionados) has acquired Industrias Marjo, a Zaragoza-based distributor for the impulse channel, which covers kiosks, convenience stores and HoReCa. Marjo’s net sales were €34.1m in 2025, slightly down from €34.5m in 2024. It carries about 4,000 products for more than 12,000 points of sale across northern and central Spain, from a central warehouse at the Plaza logistics platform. Marjo keeps its structure, team and operations. For Apex, a leading Spanish snacks maker, the deal is vertical integration into distribution, giving it direct access to the fragmented impulse channel. 5
• Real estate platform Housfy has acquired the real estate group Brisasol to drive growth in Tarragona and Zaragoza. Brisasol will maintain its brand name, workforce, and local office network, while progressively integrating Housfy’s technology to automate operations in community management, buying and selling, rentals, and insurance. The acquisition incorporates 86 professionals, 150 rental properties, and over 850 property communities into Housfy, expanding its nationwide portfolio past 10,000 communities. This strategic move allows Housfy to strengthen its regional footprint beyond Madrid and Catalonia while offering expanded home-related services. 6
• UNIKAL Tech Partners (Ufenau Capital) has incorporated Naudit High Performance Computing and Networking (Naudit HPCN), expanding its IT services in data analytics, infrastructure observability, and cybersecurity. Founded in 2009 as a university spin-off with bases in Madrid and Navarra, Naudit provides custom high-speed traffic capture technology and unified observability solutions for banking, telecom, utility, and public administration clients across Spain and Latin America. 7
• Spanish technology and digital product company Secture has acquired Bisiesto to reach €10 million in revenue before 2030. As part of the agreement, Bisiesto’s partners acquired a 10% stake in Secture. Combined with Relajaelcoco (acquired in 2025), the group now generates over €5.5 million in revenue, targeting €6.5 million by 2027. Supported by a team of over 80 professionals across Madrid and Valencia, Secture plans to hire 10–15 additional specialists over the next year to strengthen its AI and technology capabilities. 8
• Indra Group, through its IndraMind unit, has invested €10 million in Spanish quantum‑computing startup Qilimanjaro Quantum Tech. Qilimanjaro, the only full‑stack quantum company in Spain, designs its own superconducting fluxonium qubits, chips, software and algorithms, offering multimodal digital‑and‑analog quantum computing. The partnership aims to boost IndraMind’s capabilities in physical AI, robotics, and complex‑system simulation for defense, security, space and critical infrastructure. The new capital will help Qilimanjaro scale production, develop next‑generation chips, and advance European quantum autonomy. 9
