• Last week Juniper Group announced three acquisitions in the travel and hospitality industry. Juniper Group, an operating portfolio company of Vela Software and Constellation Software, acquried Dome, Hotetec and Traveltek. 1

• Sage, a global player in accounting, finance, HR and payroll technology for small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), announced the acquisition of ForceManager, a cloud-native, mobile management solution that supports SMB sales processes and significantly increases business efficiency and productivity. Based in Barcelona, Spain, ForceManager is a mobile tool designed to help sales teams work more efficiently and achieve their goals faster. 2

• French insurance broker Finaxy, backed by private equity firm Ardian, has acquired a stake in Spanish broker Riskmedia, marking Finaxy’s entry into the Spanish market. This strategic partnership aims to expand Finaxy’s European reach, leveraging Riskmedia’s expertise in corporate insurance, risk management, and personal insurance across Spain, Italy, and Portugal. 3

• Eurofins Scientific, a global scientific leader in bioanalytical testing, with a rapidly developing presence in highly specialised and molecular clinical diagnostics testing and in-vitro diagnostic products, has reached an agreement with SYNLAB to acquire its clinical diagnostics operations in Spain. SYNLAB’s clinical diagnostics operations in Spain provide clinical diagnostics testing, including genetics and anatomical pathology services, throughout the country, achieving revenues of approximately €140m in 2023. 4

• Grafton Group, the international building materials distributor and DIY retailer, announced the acquisition of Salvador Escoda. Founded in 1974 by Mr. Salvador Escoda Forés, is one of Spain’s leading distributors of air conditioning, ventilation, heating, water and renewable products serving professional installers across the residential, commercial and industrial sectors. Salvador Escoda reported revenue of €231.8 million and adjusted operating profit on a local GAAP basis of €16.5 million for the year ended 31 December 2023. 5

• Suma Capital has sold its stake in Spanish aluminum packaging company Alucan to U.S.-based Ball Corporation, marking the end of an investment that began in 2016. Over the past four years, Alucan has achieved an average annual growth rate of 12%, reaching €59.5 million in revenue in 2023. The transaction, estimated at around €80 million, supports Ball Corporation’s expansion strategy in Europe and its commitment to sustainable packaging. 6

• HD Covalco has acquired Cash Diplo, known for supplying hospitality and retail businesses, adding 40 new stores to its retail network. This acquisition strengthens HD Covalco’s position in the Spanish wholesale and retail sector, expanding its reach and market presence. 7

• Agidens bets on discrete automation by acquiring Augi. Agidens is a Belgian company that specializes in industrial process automation. Under that heading are IIoT, Data & Analytics, and Transport Management System (TMS). It is expanding its specialization through the acquisition of Augi. Automatismes Girona, or Augi, is a Spanish sector partner specifically catering to the paper and metal industry. 8

• German measurement technology expert Senseca has acquired GEONICA, a Spanish company specializing in system engineering and integration and environmental solutions. This acquisition enables Senseca to provide comprehensive, end-to-end measurement solutions, leveraging GEONICA’s expertise in data consolidation, transmission, and analysis. 9

• The French group Kiloutou has acquired ToolQuick, a Spanish company specializing in the rental of industrial machinery and equipment. This acquisition strengthens Kiloutou’s presence in Spain and supports its strategic expansion in the European market. ToolQuick, known for its innovative rental solutions and strong client base in sectors like construction and industry, will complement Kiloutou’s offerings and allow for broader service capabilities. 10
