Weekly collection of transactions (November 4 - 10)
• Miura Partners, has acquired HealthTech BioActives (Riverside), a Barcelona-based company specializing in natural ingredients, with production facilities in Beniel, Murcia. HTBA, known for its citrus flavonoids and active vitamin B12 for pharmaceutical, nutritional, and animal feed markets. 1
• Artá Capital, through its Artá Capital Fund III, acquired a 75% stake in Onix, a family-owned company specializing in premium glass mosaics for pool finishes. The fund recently reached its €400 million target, backed by investors including Corporación Alba and ICO. Onix, generating €25 million annually with 75% of sales abroad and an EBITDA of €6.5 million, marks Artá’s second investment from this fund. 2
• Private equity firm Nexxus Iberia has acquired a majority stake in Vivo, an imaging diagnostics services company with seven clinics across Andalusia, Madrid, and Aragón, generating around €20 million annually with an EBITDA of €3-4 million. This acquisition marks Nexxus’s third investment from its €241 million second fund. 3
• Talde Private Equity has acquired a majority stake in Discarlux, one of the European leaders in the processing and distribution of red meat in the premium segment, with the objective of driving its next phase of growth that will allow it to consolidate its position as the leader in its market. 4
• Renta Corporación has brought BC Partners Real Estate, the real estate investment arm of international investment firm BC Partners, on board as a shareholder in Cabe, its business line focused on urban self-storage. This alliance represents a €40 million equity commitment from BC Partners Real Estate, aimed at funding Cabe’s ambitious expansion plan. 5
• Accumin (Cinven), an independent real estate advisory group operating in 14 countries and owner of companies like Tinsa, Deyde DataCentric, and urbanData Analytics in Spain, has acquired Zero Consulting, an energy and sustainability consultancy. Based in Barcelona and Madrid, Zero Consulting specializes in sustainability advisory for real estate development projects, including design, simulation, and parameterization using BIM technology, as well as consultancy for certifications such as LEED, WELL, DGNB, BREEAM, and VERDE. 6
• Livesport, a Czech company known for its real-time sports information platform Flashscore, has acquired 100% of BeSoccer, a Spanish provider of live football scores, statistics, and news. This acquisition adds approximately 25 million monthly users to Livesport’s existing base, enhancing its global reach and solidifying its position in the sports information industry. 7
• Proclinic Group, a Spanish dental solutions provider backed by Miura Partners, has acquired Dentalair, a Dutch dental distributor. This move enhances Proclinic’s presence in the Benelux region, aligning with its European expansion strategy. The acquisition aims to leverage Dentalair’s market knowledge and distribution network to offer comprehensive dental solutions across Europe. 8
• Amper, S.A. acquired the remaining 49% stake in its subsidiary Electrotécnica Industrial Naval (Elinsa), giving it full ownership after an initial investment in 2020. The purchase, valued at approximately €30.5 million, will be paid half in cash over three years and half in newly issued Amper shares, representing around 6.79% of the company’s capital post-transaction. This acquisition aligns with Amper’s growth strategy, supported by Elinsa’s recent €155 million contract with eks Energy, extendable to €340 million, for power electronics equipment for energy storage. 9
• Reyco, a logistics company based in Foz, has acquired the Basque group Sacytrans, increasing its annual turnover to €60 million. This acquisition expands Reyco’s fleet to 500 trucks and its workforce to 300 employees. The company plans to enhance its intermodal transport services, combining road and rail logistics, and aims to establish a new logistics platform in the Basque Country. 10
