Kinematics (Angeleno Group), a global player in intelligent motion control, has signed a definitive agreement to acquire P4Q from Spanish Private Equity firm Talde Private Equity. P4Q is an industry leader in electronics for solar tracker controllers, industrial automation, sensors, and cloud-based monitoring. This acquisition will enable Kinematics to better serve the world’s leading solar tracker original equipment manufacturers (OEMs) with expanded global reach and a unified motion control solution that simplifies installation, commissioning, and maintenance. Kinematics is a portfolio company of Angeleno Group, a long-standing clean energy and climate solutions venture capital and growth equity investment firm, based in the U.S. 1

Agrícola Famosa, a Brazilian company and part of the Citri&Co agricultural group (Miura Partners), has acquired the Spanish firm Melones El Abuelo. This acquisition aims to integrate both companies’ melon and watermelon operations while maintaining their brand identities and management teams. Melones El Abuelo, with cultivation sites in Spain, Brazil, and Senegal, ensures year-round product availability.2

Partners Group, one of the largest firms in the global private markets industry, acting on behalf of its clients, has acquired a majority stake in BLUESEA Hotels, a hospitality platform in Spain, in partnership with Portobello Capital, a local mid-market private equity firm. Headquartered in Palma de Mallorca, BLUESEA specializes in the three- to four-star hotel segment in Spain, operating a portfolio of 25 hotels with around 5,100 rooms. The hotels are located in popular tourist destinations, including the Balearic and Canary Islands, Costa Brava, Costa del Sol, and Madrid, and offer affordable all-inclusive holiday packages. Partners Group has thematic conviction in BLUESEA’s portfolio due to Spain’s enduring popularity as a holiday destination, the growth in affordable travel and related infrastructure, and increasing consumer purchasing power. 3

Nexxus Iberia has facilitated Mirplay’s acquisition of Carpyen, a renowned Barcelona-based designer lighting brand established in 1948. This addon enables Mirplay, known for its professional furniture in sectors like hairdressing and education, to enter the decorative lighting market. Carpyen’s current partners will retain minority stakes and continue leading commercial operations. Mirplay’s expertise in process standardization and supply chain management is expected to bolster Carpyen’s growth in key markets. 4

Septeo (Hg), a French software solutions provider, has acquired Nivimu, a Spanish company specializing in human resources software. This move strengthens Septeo’s presence in Spain and Portugal, enhancing its ecosystem of technological solutions. 5

Grupo Lacor-Ibili, a family-owned company from Gipuzkoa, has acquired JAY Industrial Cubertera de Galicia, the only Spanish manufacturer of stainless steel and silver cutlery. This acquisition aims to expand Lacor-Ibili’s product range and ensure the continuity of JAY Industrial’s operations. Both companies anticipate reaching a combined turnover of €100 million. 6

Serunion, the Spanish subsidiary of French group Elior, has made its first acquisition as part of a strategy to diversify beyond catering into facility management. The company has acquired Madrid-based Limpiezas Alarcón, a family-owned cleaning services firm with 2,500 employees and operations in major Spanish cities. 7

Sabseg (Miura Partners) has acquired two insurance brokerages, Euromex and PG Corredores, as part of its expansion in the Spanish insurance market. Euromex, based in Vitoria and specializing in corporate and adventure sports insurance, manages €6 million in premiums. PG Corredores, headquartered in Zaragoza, focuses on large-risk insurance and handles over €11 million in premiums. With these acquisitions, Sabseg aims to achieve €600 million in intermediated premiums and €90 million in commissions across Spain and Portugal by year-end, solidifying its position as the fifth-largest insurance intermediary in Iberia. The group plans to acquire six additional brokerages before the end of the year.8
