• Platinum Equity has signed an agreement to sell Urbaser, a Madrid-based environmental services company, to Blackstone and EQT for approximately $6.6 billion. Urbaser specializes in waste collection and treatment, serving over 60 million people globally. The sale follows a significant transformation of Urbaser, which included a €1.6 billion investment and the execution of 20 acquisitions. Platinum Equity acquired Urbaser in October 2021 from China Tianying Inc.1
• The Navarra-based SAPREM Group has welcomed Talde Private Equity and Sodena as majority shareholders to support its growth in manufacturing technical components for overhead power lines. This transition facilitates management continuity and allows the founding families to divest. SAPREM is positioned for international expansion with over 40 years of experience and a focus on innovation and sustainability, generating more than 50% of its revenue outside Spain. 2
• Submer has announced the acquisition of Australia-based Radian Arc, enhancing its full-stack AI infrastructure capabilities. This acquisition combines Submer’s InferX platform with Radian Arc’s GPU edge computing services, supporting telecom-focused AI workloads globally. Submer aims to deliver scalable, sovereign AI infrastructure with a strong customer base and advanced capabilities in liquid cooling and modular datacenter design, positioning itself as a leading provider in the AI datacenter market. 3
• BMAT (Tresmares Capital), a Barcelona-based technology firm specializing in copyright management, is accelerating its international expansion with two acquisitions in France and Singapore. The company secured €577,000 in loans from Cofides, a state-controlled entity, to finance these ventures. Specifically, BMAT will acquire the French company Improvize for €227,000 and a yet-to-be-named Singaporean tech firm for €350,000. Founded in 2006, BMAT operates in 85 countries and generated €21 million in revenue in 2024, managing over €2 billion in royalties annually. 4
• Repsol has acquired 100% of the French company SAS d’Exploitation des Établissements Poignat, specializing in fuel distribution in western France. This strategic move enhances Repsol’s presence in the Bordeaux region, aiming for organic growth. Poignat has over 50 years of experience, 2,000 clients, and a storage capacity of 220 cubic meters. Repsol plans to strengthen its operations in France and North Africa, focusing on hydrocarbon sales and diversifying its services, leveraging its refining leadership in Europe for a competitive supply in the French market. 5
• Cerealto has agreed to sell its pasta business and manufacturing facilities in Palencia, Spain, to Cerealis, a pasta specialist. This decision aligns with Cerealto’s strategy to focus on snacking and breakfast categories, where it sees growth potential. The transaction ensures continuity of operations and employment. CEO Bosco Fonts emphasized that the pasta business will thrive under a specialist, and once approvals are obtained, a transition phase will begin while operations continue normally. 6
• Devicare has acquired IP-6 International, Inc., marking its first strategic expansion into the U.S. market. This acquisition allows Devicare to leverage its scientific expertise and product portfolio in urology while enhancing IP-6 International’s presence globally. The deal strengthens Devicare’s position in the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical sectors, particularly with the flagship product IP6 Gold®, known for its quality. Both companies aim to improve clinical outcomes in urology and enhance service and innovation for their clients. 7
• Hortalizas Gourmet - Herfruit, a company specializing in the cultivation, processing, and marketing of vegetables, has been acquired by a group of private investors. This acquisition marks a new phase of growth for the company. The investors, led by Jorge Leñero and Carlos Eugui of Muro Capital Partners, will manage the company. With over 40 years of experience, Hortalizas Gourmet is a key player in distributing fresh vegetables, primarily carrots, to various clients, including specialized chains and wholesalers both nationally and internationally. → Albia IMAP acted as Herfruit M&A sell-side advisor 🎉 8
• Jungle has acquired Prodigioso Volcán, enhancing its capabilities in cultural transformation and strategic communication. Founded in 2010, Prodigioso Volcán specializes in corporate communication and has worked with major clients like Iberdrola and Telefónica. The integration aims to scale communication efforts while maintaining the firm’s unique identity. Following this acquisition, Jungle anticipates revenues of 90 million euros by 2026, building on a 49% revenue increase from the previous year. 9
• Transportes Hermanos Chinchón (Blackpearl Capital), a Spanish road freight transport company, has acquired Transleyca by purchasing its operational unit. This includes Transportes de León and Cataluña, Mareltrans Logística, and Logística y Transportes Caprimar, employing about 500 staff with around 300 trucks. The acquisition aims to stabilize services and preserve jobs amid the previous owner’s retirement and generational transition issues. The move enhances operational capacity and efficiency, addressing growing demands in the logistics sector. 10
